We Flip For: Allie Bashuk of Scoutmob

We’re of the mind that style is great medium for expressing our unique sensibilities and personality. Every once in a while we stumble across a lady, and with just one look, we can tell she embraces that ethos from head to cool-shoed-toe.

Our style inspiration this week comes straight from the ATL - meet Allie Bashuk of Scoutmob! When she’s not roving about town or scouring the internets for the next covetable thing to feature on the pages of Shoppe, you’ll find her experiencing the city’s “stellar creative scene” donned in her signature style of high top sneakers, tights, and a dress with a peter pan collar.

We siddled down with Allie to comb through her closet and talk fashion:

TF: Describe your personal style.
AB: Eclectic, girly, and most importantly, comfortable!
TF:  If you could time travel Delorean style, whose wardrobe would you want to snatch up?
AB: My grandma Pepper. Never got to know the broad, but according to her hand-me-downs and photos - she was super fly in the ‘50s.
TF: What’s one piece that always travel with you?
AB: I don’t leave my house without my charm necklace. It contains all of my super powers.

Allie often procures delightful pieces from independent designers at Need Supply Co., and quirky homegoods at The Future Perfect. She’s also a fan of San Francisco’s Mod Cloth just down the street from us!

When it comes to brick-and-mortar spots, Allie always goes local giving us the down low on Georgia’s best: “Athens, my college hometown has some super stellar vintage spots: Agora, Community, and Dynamite Clothing. In Atlanta, I like Last Chance Thrift Store, Rag-O-RamaClothing Warehouse, Young Blood Gallery & Boutique.” And her tried-and-true place for finding “the very best trinkets” on the cheap? Indie craft fairs, naturally.

How’s that for holiday shopping inspiration? Until next time, flip you later!
